This paper explains in the philosophy of science the contemporary distinctionbetween logic of discovery and logic of research. That distinction opposes the
discovery as a creative action to the scientific activity. From the distinction between logic and reasoning, the paper suggests that it seems reasonable to recover discovery as part of the scientific activity, in opposition to Popper´s approaches.
