The purpose of the present study is to make clear the relevance of the effort towards integrating philosophico-political and juridical Aristotelianism and Platonism carried out by Cicero. Furthermore, the understanding of this effort will allow us to underscore the mediatory task carried out by Albertus Magnus in recollecting, precisely via Cicero's work and even without knowing the totality of Aristotle and Plato's political and juridical works, their essential outlines. Both in Cicero's work and in that of Albertus Magnus and his disciple Thomas Aquinas the relation of foundation existing between the concepts of ordo naturae, ordo politicus et ordo iuridicus may be seen as constant. The present inquiry will focus on the aforementioned relation as it can be found in Cicero's work, in order to lastly make clear its actuality, by attempting a new reading of the secundum naturam vivere axiom.
