En este trabajo se expone la crítica de Amartya Sen a la Teoría de la Elección Racional (TER). Para lo anterior, se toma como principal exponente de esta última, la obra del profesor Gary Becker. La crítica de Sen se basa principalmente en tres puntos: un análisis del concepto de preferencia, la distinción entre simpatía y compromiso, y la distinción entre optimización y maximización. Una vez expuesta la crítica de Sen se mencionan algunas falencias de la misma.Downloads
