GLOBAL SCOPE OF SCHMITT’S CRITIQUE ABOUT MODERN WEAPONS

This article schematically reconstructs the Schmittian model of technics from his thesis about weapons as “modern means of destruction”. (1) It addresses the Nomos assertions in the Jus Publicum Europaeum dissolution and then (2) analyses Schmitt’s considerations about the highly destructive features of mass destruction weapons. (3) The article posits that both (3) Fichte and (4) Locke possess an important philosophical bond with Schmitt’s takes on technicity. Finally, (5) a conclusion is given about the global scope of Schmitt’s critique inside the modern debate on technics and technology.References
