Abstract

This article takes and analyze the consequences that follow the diffusion of nominalism professed by William of Ockham, mainly the collapse of metaphysical knowledge, and, following this, it studies the influence of ockhamist doctrine by which only the concrete singular is real in authors like Martin Luther and the liberal thinkers, from John Locke to Friedrich Von Hayek, to name some.
