The objective of the present article is to presenf the main notions that compose Sr. Augustine 's view of the universe, its origin and proper function, which translate into the recognition of divine transcendence and the presence of divine action in the world. This vision will be compared with some ideas upheld by a part of contemporary cosmology, which leads us to think in the validity of the augustinian model in reference of how we know of the aniverse.References
