BRIEF HISTORY OF THE NOTION OF CREATION

The vicissitudes endure by a notion of theological heritage, but which at the same time has a profound philosophical content, which has been the dividing line between two important stages of human thought, is here presented in a concise manner. The notion of creation which was unknown to the whole of philosophy before the biblical revelation, but which nowdays is a well known one, has made possible the understanding of the change produced in a point of view according to which the world is necessary and eternal to another one in which the world comes into being by a free decision and which has a temporal character. Such a notion, on the other hand, is up to the present time, the only one allowing to find an answer to the question that Leibniz asked concerning the radical origin of things.References
