This article critically evaluates the consequences of an instrumentalist philosophy of technology on contemporary political philosophy, based on the perspective of 20th-century political theorist Langdon Winner. It argues that technical and technological objects themselves can be conceived as active agents with capacities equivalent to human action. This text aims to spark broader debate on the value of technology in political thought while exposing the anthropocentric nature of a political philosophy grounded in instrumentalist materialism.
